Charles de Menezes - Fine defaulter

Testimony is due to be provided shortly by Elspeth Crewe of Merton Borough Council that Charles De Menezes was a persistently overdue with his library books and that he still owes 20p.

Apparently the Council have "in the circumstances"agreed to waive the fine.

It is essential that Mr de Menezes be exposed for the nuisance he is. If the travelling public cannot sit on a train, confident that the person next to them may be a secret policeman who at any moment may summarily blow their head off, how can we say we are winning the war on terror.
