Biodiesel - Interest takes off

An opportunity to learn what investment opportunities there are in unvesting in Biodiesel in the US is available - Biodiesel Finance and Investing Oct 11-13th The Millenium Hotel, Minneapolis MN. In 2005 36 plants were built for Biodiesel averaging 14 Metric Tons per year (MMgy). In 2006 65 new plants are proposed averaging 22.4 MMgy.

BBI International Media has launched it's newest Web site, www.BiodieselMagazine.com.

Biodiesel Magazine claim they are the only publication dedicated solely to the renewable fuel. The print magazine's circulation is over 3,000 worldwide. The first isue was January 2004, and since has more than doubled in size and scope.

The 2007 National Biodiesel Conference and Expo will be held in San Antonio, Texas. The biggest event of the biodiesel industry will be held Feb. 4-7 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Google have a 1 hour video "Biofuels : Think outside the Barrel" by Vinod Khosla March 29th 2006 - if this doesn't convince you about the role of biofuels as the automotive fuel of the future in North America nothing will. Make sure your kids watch it.

2 Facts. Brazil went from 4% Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFV) to 70% in 3 years. Volkswagen / Audi probably will not make fossil fuel vehicles (ie Gasoline only) in Brazil from 2007.

Who is Vinod Kholsa ?

Vinod Khosla is a venture Capitalist extrordinaire, who with Bill Joy founded Sun Microsystems. Khosla left Sun in 1985 and set up Khoslaventures to invest in technology - said to have heavily invested in ethanol production.
