Yazidis get a seat.

The 5 week old results from the Iraqi elections were predictable and no doubt heavily massaged.

I was delighted the Yazidi who are said erroneously to worship Satan, gained one seat. This curious, peaceful and shade dwelling Islamic ofshoot believe in angels and pray especially to the peacock. (Said to be up to 130K of them in Iraq on borders with Kurds)

Anyone who prays to peacocks gets my vote... although I was astonished when I first saw these flightles and clumsy birds in Sri Lanka (AKA Ceylon) climbing in trees and making their famous din.
